Free Server Monitoring

Be the first to know if your web server goes down with our super simple server monitoring!

This is Free Server Monitoring where you can create a free account to monitor one or more servers. The catch? There isn't one! You should keep in mind, however, that we only check your servers every 20 minutes. Also, should your server go down we will inform you via email and not mobile phone text message. (Although we are working on SMS notification support.) It's completely free so why not give it a try!

What can I monitor?

You can monitor as many different servers as you need. For each server you can also monitor:

  • Up to three hosted websites
  • One MySQL database on the default port of 3306 (via a user account)
  • FTP availability (via a user account)
  • SSH availability
  • SMTP availability (via a user account)

How does it work?

Please log in below (making sure you create your free account first!). Once logged in, you can create a monitoring account for each server you want to monitor. The monitoring account creation form is very easy to understand and guides you every step of the way. You can even test the settings you enter before saving the monitoring account!

Anything else I should know?

As this is a free service we can't be held responsible for any bad or unexpected things happening to your system / business / servers. Here are the disclaimers:

  • Theoretically, false positives could be generated. This means that you could receive an alert saying something is wrong with your server when actually the server is fine.
  • Theoretically, false negatives could be generated. This means that something could be wrong with your server but you don't receive an alert.
  • We only check your servers every 20 minutes.
  • Notification alerts are - currently - email only.
  • Some (optional) monitoring checks will require you to save user credentials into your Free Server Monitoring account. We take your security very seriously. First of all, the whole of this site uses SSL secure channels (the padlock mark in your browser). Also, all of your account details are encrypted with 128 bit strength before being stored in our database.
